How do I get more information on joining?

The Pastor Cindy Swofford and Joan Davis, Director of Member Ministeries are always willing and excited to speak with you about church membership and discipleship. You are very welcome to become a permanent member of the Lee Road Family.

If you wish to visit and discuss church membership in your home, office or in the pastor's office, please indicate so on the card given you, on the Attendance Registration Sheet, by calling the church office at (864)244-6427 or Joan Davis, Director of Member Ministries at (864)268-6494, or you can email us. They will meet with you at your convenience including evenings and weekend hours.

 

What do I do to become a member?
When a person feels led to unite with His church, they are really saying "I want to profess my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and unite with this congregation of believers."

In joining this church, you will make a vow or promise to God and the church as follows:

A. To confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and pledge you allegiance to His Kingdom.

B. To receive and profess the Christian faith as contained in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.

C. To promise, according to the grace given to you, to live a Christian life and always remain a faithful member of Christ's Holy Church.

D. To be loyal to the Methodist Church and uphold it in your prayers, your presence, your gifts, and your service.

We, the membership of Lee Road United Methodist Church, prayerfully urge you to consider becoming a member of this congregration of believers by transfer of your membership letter or by profession of your faith. The Pastor will be happy to visit in your home, workplace or the church office and discuss this with you.
